The Grand Cinema will enhance the charming café by providing wireless internet, diversifying the snack options and introducing game nights and other special events. “What we want is people of every age to feel comfortable coming to sit and enjoy the atmosphere,” she explains. “The cinema really has been like a second home for us, and we'd like to extend that feeling to many of our customers, although for many of them that may already be the case!”

The well-lit walls and well-trafficked halls of the lobby have proven a wonderful venue for local artists and are booked through 2007. Every two months, the Grand Cinema plans to host receptions for its featured artists, another means of supporting the arts and fostering community spirit.
